2000 OSU Schedule Analysis
The Pokes travel to Tulsa for the annual game against
the Golden Hurricane, who are once again one of the
worst teams in college football. OSU will walk away
without so much as a game.
Quick tip on how to predict the outcome of a collegiate
football game: if a team has two directional coordinates
and "state or tech" following their name, they suck.
Ok, so every now and then a directional team is good, and
the Golden Eagles are a strong team. The Cowboys will get
their first test in this game which will expose their inexperience
with Del Miller's offense.
Ugly. Quite simply, the Cowboys don't have much of a chance
when they travel to Austin. The defensive backfield's inexperience
will give the O-State coaches nightmares.
Larry Smith's success in Colombia lasted about as long as the Titanic
stayed afloat. When Corby left so did the wins.
Yes, Dan McCarney is a great guy, but being as blunt as I can here, his
team's have been as worthless as a Beano Cook commentary. The Cyclones
are a pathetic group of athletes.
The Buffs are solid, but the days of Bill McCartney are gone and so is
the CU dominance. However, the Pokes are young and have inexperience.
Good road showing for OSU, but not good enough.
The Texas A&M Aggies just might be the most difficult team in the Big 12
to predict. Since this one is in Stillwater, we'll take the home team. The
Cowboys win a close one here.
After watching the defensive collapse that the Pokes had last season when they
faced the Sooners, Mike Leach will be licking his chops this November. And with
the Cowboys coming off an emotional victory over A&M, the young secondary
will bite the Cowboys in the butt again.
Well Kevin Steel has continued the long pattern of consistent nauseating failure
and won't have to rely on a last second retarded fumble to lose this one. The
The Cowboys again have a hard time with Josh Heupel and the Sooners passing
attack. The Sooners win by 17 in a game that starts out close, but the Sooners score
a couple of TD's late in the third quarter to seal the victory..
