Woeful Season Continues Pokes lose to Missouri 24-10 by: Jason Waganer October 8, 2000
Columbia, Mo. -- OSU Head Coach Bob Simmons' long season continues. The Cowboys (2-3) lost their third consecutive game Saturday at Missouri (2-3) 24-10.
Missouri's redshirt freshman quarterback Darius Outlaw looked like an All Big 12 player in the first quarter of Saturday's game as he threw for one touchdown and ran for another to put the Tigers up 14-0 early.
The Cowboys scored on a 42-yard Seth Condley field goal to make the score 14-3 at half.
In the second half, things didn't get any better for the Cowboys. Tiger defensive back Antoine Duncan intercepted two Cowboy passes in the third quarter.
Missouri kicker Brad Hammerich had the only points in the third quarter, extending the Tiger lead to 17-3.
Both teams scored touchdowns in the final quarter to make the final score 24-10. OSU quarterbacks Tony Lindsay and Aso Pogi were a combined 26-44 for 257 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions.
Missouri's Outlaw was 14-27 for 191 yards, one passing touchdown, one rushing touchdown and one interception.
