The Oklahoma State Cowboys continue to make waves through the Big 12 in recruiting with word coming this weekend that OSU received a commitment from Garden City Community College (Kansas) star defensive tackle Lance Carson.  This commitment, from a tackle considered by many to be the best defensive tackle in Junior College this year, brings Oklahoma State to 17 commitments leading into the "dead period."

Les Miles' crew has been making some headway the last few weeks with the commitments of several top recruits including Carson and the announcement by Carrollton (Texas) Turner linebacker Glenn Jackson on Monday, that he too would be a Cowboy.  The Cowboys have landed several prospects and are in on many more in a class that could end up being the best in many years for OSU.

As for now the Cowboys are scheduled to have two more players visit, but not until January 11, we are entering a "dead period" around the holidays.  Paul Mosley, a 6-3, 217 pound athlete from Austin, Texas and Eric Buchanan, a 6-0, 185 pound cornerback from DeSoto, Texas are expected to visit on the 11th.
