A slightly overcast sky. A fairly calm breeze. A temperature low enough to see your breath as you exhale. You say to yourself, "feels like OU-Nebraska weather."

In the olden days, the OU-Nebraska game was played on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Weather conditions almost always required a heavy coat, gloves, scarf and hat.

The games also always featured the two most dominant rushing offenses in the country. Offenses that nearly mirrored each other. It was tradition. It was exciting. It was war.

The first battle of the Big Reds in the 21st century should be different from any other in this historic rivalry. OU has one of the most prolific passing offenses in the country. Nebraska has the nation's most dangerous rushing attack. It will be exciting and it will no doubt be war.

This Saturday, the temperature in Norman should be in the low 70s with a possibility of rain. Hardly what you would call OU-Nebraska weather. But you know what, it still feels like OU-Nebraska doesn't
