Sooners Add Two More Commitments

The Oklahoma Sooners added two more commitments to their 2002 recruiting class this weekend with the verbals from Travis Wilson of Carrolton, Texas and Larry Birdine of Lawton, Okla. Both are considered top 40 prospects for the respective positions by many recruiting publications and websites.

Wilson is a 6-3, 200-pound speedster who is tearing it up in his senior year. His great size and 4.4 speed remind coaches of current Sooner Andre Woolfolk. He'll either end up as a WR or DB for the Sooners.

Birdine is not as highly ranked as Wilson, but his size, speed and knack for getting to the QB have Sooner coaches excited. Once he's in the Sooner strength and conditioning program for a season or two, he's got a good chance to be a real monster on the defensive line.
