The words of many going in to Tuesday's Oklahoma/Eastern Illinois game were those of caution to not overlook the mid-major Panthers and their star guard Henry Domercant.  The Sooners didn't overlook them, unfortunately Eastern Illinois, they were ready to play anyone who stepped on the floor, now they hope for more of the same on Friday night.

The final stats were all extremely lopsided, but perhaps the most impressive is the rebound total that was 57-22 in favor of the Sooners.  In a game that Oklahoma won 109-50 and led at the half 60-26, not to mention the 22 assists and 57% shooting for the third consecutive game, this (rebounding) is a stat OU continues not to just win, but dominate.

Head Coach Kelvin Sampson was happy with his Sooners performance, "I'm not easily impressed by my team, but this game tonight was absolutely the best, that first half defensively was about the best I've ever had a team play."

Oklahoma continued it's roll from the weekend in which it rolled High Point 107-63 and Bethune-Cookman 102-65 to now make their last three wins by a combined 140 points (36.6 points).  In that stretch Hollis Price, Aaron McGhee, and Ebi Ere have emerged as the go-to guys in the scoring department, averaging 19.6, 18.3, and 14 points per game respectively.

OU cannot sleep now as the nation's second ranked team the Maryland Terrapins come to Lloyd Noble Center on Friday night at 8 p.m. in a game nationally televised by ESPN.  There are still a limited number of tickets available for this game and can be bought online at SoonerSports.com.

"This game is a great opportunity for not only the OU basketball program, but the entire University of Oklahoma. This will be the premier game in the country on Friday night and we've got to fill this place up. We'll have two excellent basketball teams going against each other. I think that we can beat anyone in the country if we have all of our fans in this building to help us." -Kelvin Sampson after the game.
