Tulsa vs. Indiana State

The Golden Hurricane kick-off the 2001 campaign on Thursday Night in Skelly Stadium against a horrid Indiana State ball club that is coming off of a tremendous 1-10, 2000 record.  In the five previous meetings the Hurricane are 5-0 with an average win of 24 points per contest, don't expect this one to be much different.

The 'Canes are starting their second year under Keith Burns who had a very promising 5-7 record in his first year.  The Hurricanes lost their season opener at North Carolina last season, 30-9, but have a 60-40-1 record in season openers, including 51-20 at home.
