Biggest Games

1.  Tulsa at UTEP.  September 29, 2001.

This game will determine the WAC championship, too bad for Tulsa, it's in the Sun Bowl.

2.  Fresno State at Tulsa.  September 22, 2001.

If Tulsa is to compete for the WAC title they must win this game.

3.  Fresno State at Hawaii.  October 27, 2001.

Can June Jones turn the same magic he did in year one?  Or will year two rear it's ugly head?

4.  San Jose State at Hawaii.  November 3, 2001.

The Spartans need to pull some upsets on the road to gain respectability, this would be a start.

5.  San Jose State at Fresno State.  November 24, 2001.

A big game for both, San Jose for the validity of a big road win and Fresno because, well, 3 games in this top 5.

Going Bowling

Crucial.com Humanitarian Bowl.  December 28 or 31, 2001.  #2 WAC

Silicon Valley Classic.  December 31, 2001.  WAC Champ

To the severe dismay and tremendous disappointment of other conference chairmen, the WAC has locked up the Humanitarian Bowl and Silicon Valley Bowl for this upcoming season.  No, the WAC is not interested in the worthless, boring bowls with any history.  Just the rich tradition and history of the famed Humanitarian and Silicon Valley Bowls will do.  Do you remember who played there last year?  Neither do we, but we think UTEP will be the champ in the Silicon Valley and Tulsa will get to go to Boise in 2001!  Thanks, Crucial.com!
